Why we built Rynbw
Rynbw was founded in 2026 as a free gay chat. Our goal is to offer LGBTQ+ people a free and safe space to chat - a place where you can be yourself, meet new people and have real conversations, no matter where you are in the world. We believe that meeting people online shouldn't depend on your budget, your identity documents or the willingness to hand over your phone number. That's why Rynbw is open to everyone and asks for as little as possible.
Free, anonymous and without an account
Rynbw works directly in your browser - there is no app to install and no account to create. You don't need to provide an email address or phone number, and you can start chatting within seconds. Your identity is represented by a cryptographic key pair that stays on your device, which enables anonymous and decentralized communication. We never ask who you are - you decide how much of yourself you want to share.
Built on open technology
We don't operate our own chat infrastructure. Instead, Rynbw uses the free Murmelt web client, which enables anonymous and decentralized communication via the open Nostr protocol. Messages are encrypted on your device and travel through independent relays - not through servers owned by us. This approach keeps the network open and independent, and it means we physically can't read your conversations.
No premium accounts, no hidden costs
Everything on Rynbw is free. There are no premium accounts, no premium features and no paywalls. You will never be asked for payment details, and no one gets extra features for paying - because there simply is nothing to pay for. Chatting, sharing media and discovering people in the community is free for everyone, always.
